Information we collect

Account information

We collect your email address, account identifier, optional display name, timezone, your minimum-age declaration and its date, and authentication information needed to create, secure, and maintain your account. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are not visible to us in readable form.

AI age and country eligibility

When you request AI access, we store your selected country of residence and, when available, the age-range bounds and declaration category returned through the app by Apple, together with policy and report dates. This flow does not request your exact birth date or identity document. Country is self-declared, and an app-submitted age range is not independent identity verification. Reports expire for eligibility after 30 days; expiration does not automatically delete the stored report. A later check replaces the previous report, and account deletion removes it from our active database.

Reflection and activity information

When you choose to use SINLESS, you may provide highly personal spiritual-reflection information, including selected sin and fruit categories, dates, strength or severity ratings, repentance status, journal notes, prayer notes, Scripture references, and reflection time. We derive streaks, summaries, themes, and other reflective insights from this activity to provide app features. These features are intended to support awareness and growth, not measure your worth.

Optional AI-assisted pattern insights

If you explicitly enable AI Insights, selected written reflections may be securely processed through SINLESS server functions by OpenAI to prepare the “A Pattern to Notice” feature. We do not add your account name, email address, authentication credentials, payment information, strength or severity rating, repentance status, reflection duration, or Scripture selection to that request. Personal details you write in your reflections may be included. AI processing is optional; totals, trends, categories, virtues, Scripture guidance, and other non-AI features remain available when it is off.

Subscription information

We process product identifiers, subscription and entitlement status, expiration dates, store information, transaction-related information, and an app user identifier to provide Premium access, purchases, restores, and subscription support. Apple or Google processes your payment details; SINLESS does not receive your full payment-card information.

Technical information

Our service providers may process device, network, IP-address, diagnostic, and service-log information needed to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and prevent abuse of the service. Authentication session information is also stored locally on your device so you can remain signed in.

How we use information

• Provide authentication, synchronization, reflections, insights, subscriptions, and account support.
• Prepare an AI-assisted pattern insight only when you have affirmatively enabled that optional feature and sufficient written reflection exists.
• Secure the service, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, and maintain reliability.
• Respond to requests and comply with applicable legal obligations.
• Improve the experience using operational feedback. We do not use your private journal content for advertising.

How information is shared

We do not sell personal information and do not use third-party advertising trackers. We share information only as needed with service providers that operate SINLESS, including Supabase for authentication, database hosting, and server functions; RevenueCat for subscription entitlement management; Apple App Store and, when available, Google Play for purchases; Cloudflare for delivery and security of this website; OpenAI for the optional AI-assisted pattern feature only after you enable it; and Sentry for restricted operational error reporting when configured. SINLESS sends Sentry fixed operation and error-category labels, without attaching journal text, account identity, credentials, or automatic activity breadcrumbs. Native crash collection and session replay are disabled in this integration. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy commitments.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, to investigate abuse, or as part of a business reorganization where permitted by law.

Your choices and controls

You can review information displayed in the app, stop adding new reflections, sign out, manage your store subscription, or permanently delete your account from Account → Delete Account. You can enable or disable optional AI processing from Account → AI Insights. Turning it off stops new AI processing and removes cached AI-generated insights without deleting your original journals. Account deletion removes your SINLESS profile and associated journal, reflection, AI-derived insight, and subscription-mirror records from our active database. Apple, Google, RevenueCat, OpenAI, and infrastructure providers may retain limited transaction, security, abuse-monitoring, backup, or legal records according to their own obligations and retention schedules.

Retention and security

We retain account and reflection information while your account is active and delete it when you use the in-app deletion process, subject to limited backup, security, fraud-prevention, transaction, and legal retention. We use access controls, encrypted network connections, row-level database protections, and service-provider safeguards. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

Children

SINLESS is intended only for adults age 18 and older. The signup age confirmation is a self-declaration, not identity or age verification. We do not request a birth date or identity document through this declaration. AI Insights requires separate age-range, country, consent, and access checks. We do not knowingly permit people under 18 to use SINLESS. If you believe someone under 18 has created an account, contact us so we can investigate and delete the account.

International processing

Information may be processed in countries other than where you live. Privacy protections and lawful-transfer measures may vary based on the provider and location.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as SINLESS changes. We will post the revised date here and provide additional notice when required.
